Because of our thorough knowledge of privacy and IT law, we advise our clients about all kinds of collaborations involving the distribution and exploitation of digital content.
Who do we assist?
We advise several of our clients in the field of digital media, ranging from start-ups and scale-ups with innovative business models to traditional parties from the entertainment industry that want to keep evolving their business.
We also assist various clients in the field of IT and privacy: after all, all kinds of parties are affected by this. For example, we work for companies and institutions that process personal data, but also for the people whose personal data it concerns.
What can we help with?
Digital media
Today, most entertainment content is accessed and distributed through digital media, including social media. This does not only apply to film and music (and combinations thereof), but also to other media forms, such as podcasts. We have been involved in the launch of several VOD and streaming platforms and have guided deals for making podcasts, library music and other digital entertainment content digitally available.
In addition, our firm’s lawyers are happy to act as a sparring partner when it comes to new models and advise startups on new collaborations focused on the distribution and exploitation of digital content.
IT
It’s not just the media and entertainment landscape itself that changes: the more technical side of the industry is constantly developing, too. Legislation in the field of ‘digital’, such as privacy, IT law and AI, changes rapidly and requires a sharp analysis of risks. We have thorough technical and legal knowledge of IT contract law and privacy law and are competent in advising on new developments in this area.
