Vera Nederpelt joined Dikhoff van Dongen Advocaten in November 2023 and specializes in in general contract law, litigation and intellectual property law. Vera started her career as a lawyer in 2019 at a large firm in Amsterdam’s Zuidas district, where she primarily dealt with commercial litigation in court.
At Dikhoff Van Dongen, Vera works for clients in the film and television, music and advertising industries. She advises on specific contracts from those industries, as well as corporate law matters such as shareholder agreements. She enjoys translating the legal reality into practical solutions. Vera is also involved in settlement negotiations and litigation before the courts, including in the field of unlawful publications, copyright infringements and commercial disputes.
In addition to her work, Vera is a volunteers at Lawyers for Lawyers and the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), among other things.
Vera obtained her bachelors in Dutch Law and Tax Law from the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam and subsequently obtained her master’s degree in International and European Tax Law from the Universiteit van Amsterdam and her master’s degree in Corporate Law at the Zuidas at the Vrije Universiteit. During her studies, Vera spent a semester studying at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and worked as an external court clerk at the Rotterdam District Court.
Vera was sworn in as a lawyer by the Amsterdam District Court in June 2019 and completed her professional training for the legal profession at the Law Firm School in 2022.
