Melika has been with Dikhoff van Dongen Advocaten since October 2023. Melika specializes in intellectual property law, IT law and privacy law. Before joining Dikhoff van Dongen Advocaten, Melika worked as a lawyer at a law firm in The Hague. Before becoming an attorney-at-law, Melika worked for several years as legal counsel in the corporate world. She has worked for an international fintech company, a university and several Dutch film producers.
At Dikhoff van Dongen Advocaten, Melika works primarily for clients in the media and entertainment sector and technology companies. She is particularly engaged in advising and litigating in matters in the area of her specialization.
Melika obtained her bachelor’s degree in Dutch law at Erasmus University Rotterdam and subsequently obtained her master’s degree in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. During her master she obtained a Copyright X certificate from Harvard Law School. She also successfully completed the postgraduate specialization course in Information Law at the Grotius Academy in 2020.
Furthermore, Melika holds the following certificates in the field of privacy: CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist) and CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe).
In January 2022, Melika was sworn in as a lawyer by the District Court of The Hague.
